The XPS Stalker Tackle Bag is just what I was looking for in a tackle bag. Given my previous experience with the Spiderwire Wolf Spider bag, I was looking for a bag that had reinforced pockets that would not rip easy under stress. So far the bag has held up great.
I picked this up at Bass Pro Shop, and though the website says it doesn’t come with fishing boxes, all the bags in store either had five 360s or four 370s. I opted for the 360s so I had more room to store some soft plastics and buzz baits I keep in finesse worm binders.
The bag is bulky, but the space is well allocated. When kayak fishing, I carry a milkcrate, so I can either pull the 360s out and put them in the crate, or just attach the bag on the back of my Ride 135. If you are limited on storage space, the XPS Stalker may be a little too big.
As far as compartments, this bag has more than enough room for my gear whether I’m bank fishing or kayak fishing. Specialized compartments include: a semi-hard sunglass case, line pockets, plier holder, a fishing license window and anchor straps on the top of the bag. You can also opt to use the bag as a backpack or arrange the straps to use as a duffel.
This bag has more than met my expectations and compared to other bags in the same class, the price is reasonable.
