In addition to the Bow Clip I already highlighted, I came up with a no-drill way to add a clip to my Tightspot quiver.
These Kydex accessory hooks are great if you use the Tethrd HYS Strap or made your own as I did using their instructional video.
Building A Quiver Clip
Materials Needed
The quiver clip is used for hanging your quiver if you choose to shoot from the tree without your quiver attached.
Step 1: Cut a 1.5″ x 5″ Strip of Kydex
Using a carpet knife, score a 1.5″ x 5″ of Kydex. Bend on the score to separate the Kydex.
Step 2: Taper the Edge
Just like the bow clip, use a rotary tool to taper one edge for insertion into the tree strap. If you want, you can go ahead and sand the edges before bending.
Step 3: Make the First Bend
Measure and lightly score 3″ on the tapered side of the Kydex. Heat using the strip heat and bend completely over to form a tight hook.
Step 4: Mold to the Shape of the Quiver
The idea of molding the edge is so it will smoothly slide and form to the back edge of the quiver shell.
Use a block of wood to isolate the non-tapered end of the clip and heat until very malleable. Place on the back contour of the quiver and press down with the pipe insulation to form the Kydex to the shape of the quiver.
Step 5: Complete the Bend
Using a heat gun and a block of wood to deflect the heat, create another complete bend just past where the Kydex was formed to the quiver.
Step 6: Insert the Clip and Test
Place the contoured portion of the clip on the back of the quiver and press in firmly. This should stay in place and can be used to hang your quiver once in the tree.
