It seems you never have a fishing rod ready when you stumble onto a perfect stream or creek as its just to cumbersome to carry one in. Dragontail seems to be trying to remedy that with the new Kaida Tenkara rod meant for backpackers.
If you have never heard of Tenkara, you probably aren’t alone..but its been around a long time. It uses a fixed line on a light pole to entice fish with a small fly…it reminds me of a combination of fly fishing and doodle-socking.
Perfect for Stress Relief
Though I’m typically over-geared when it comes to fishing, there is something liberating and relaxing about simplifying to the extreme. The Kaida Tenkara rod is about as simple as it gets and its a blast.
Anytime, Anywhere
My favorite part of the Dragontail Kaida is I can just leave it in the truck and whether I’m taking the kids to the park or escorting them to a birthday party, if I see a creek, I’m in the game.
So fun to be able to probe the local creeks for fish.
Conclusion
The Dragontail Kaida isn’t meant to be an addition to your existing fishing setup…its a tool that allows you to fishing differently and access places you never dreamt of fishing…really enjoying my Kaida.
